Success Stories

A three-year-old in remission. An orphaned student turned trainer coach. A Deputy Collector who never left. These are the stories your support writes.

Medical Aid

Baby Nirvi's second chance

Baby Nirvi, a three-year-old girl, was suffering from Pre-B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia — a type of blood cancer. For her family, the diagnosis was a nightmare. She required chemotherapy at Bai Jerabai Wadia Hospital for Children, with further treatment to follow, at a cost of ₹3,00,000.

Her father — the sole earner for a family of five living in a rented house in Mira Road, earning ₹10,000 a month as a garment shop salesman — had exhausted his savings and the limited help of relatives. The hospital guided him to MESCO. MESCO helped, and also guided the family to other trusts for support.

Due to timely treatment, today Nirvi is able to live a normal life. The family is deeply thankful to every donor whose timely assistance made it possible.

Education Adoption Scheme

From four years old to trainer coach

“For me, MESCO is a god-sent help. I lost my father when I was four; my mother struggled to manage the finances for my studies. Becoming part of this organisation gave us financial stability and security — and not just financially: MESCO's mentors conduct counselling sessions and give moral support that truly boosts one's confidence and will to achieve more.”

“I attended gatherings where mentors ran fun learning activities that were, in reality, life lessons about mental development, peer pressure and communication. At a personality development camp I explored my potential and realised the confidence I hold in myself. Today I work at Epicenter Technologies, promoted to Trainer Coach. I have come this far thanks to MESCO's contribution to my financial and emotional support.”

Since 1991

The Deputy Collector who stayed

“I am grateful to the Almighty for the blessing of being associated with MESCO since 1991. I have fond memories of all the founder members, trustees and staff since my college days. I have seen this organisation grow and progress like a phoenix, and love to be part of any innovative activity MESCO introduces.”

“Its work in education and skills development has grown in leaps and bounds, and I am fortunate to have been part of several activities and programmes — which had a great share in shaping my own career. I pray this organisation is blessed with all the resources and manpower to help the underprivileged get equal opportunities in life.”

Ms. Farogh Mukadam · Deputy Collector and Deputy District Election Officer, Mumbai City District
